Simple 'Easy as Pie' ANIMAL PRINT Bead Headband

The Simple 'Easy as Pie' Button Headband was SO simple to make, and fun, that I decided to do a second. I had these animal print beads left over from the good ol' days of high school, and seeing as I'm now obsessed with leopard print and other animal prints, I decided to make a second headband. Now, I found the beads, but you could easily make them. Just get white, black or yellow beads, a small brush and some black paint. The prints on these beads were painted on, so you can do it too. I added a little bow for a feminine touch.

I keep all my embellishments to one side of the headband, but I've been kicking myself for not having enough beads to extend along the whole length of the headband. Just glue where you feel is comfortable and works well.

Simple 'Easy as Pie' Button Headband is so simple, ANYONE can make it!

All you need is:

• 1 Plastic Headband
• Glue Gun
• Buttons

And then all you do is glue!

I chose to do an "Art Deco" version of this craft. White, silver and black were my colours, and I even included a few mirror circles that I also found at the craft store. I just glued and layered and did what felt right.

The final product, voila!

2 many buttons

I hit a goldmine today at the $2 shop. They were selling bags of mismatched buttons for $2. I bought 2 bags and have already started 2 craft projects.

New Purpose

I'm changing the purpose of this blog. It's now going to be a running commentary about all the different crafts I do - for personal and business reasons. Felting is getting a bit boring, plus I don't wear it myself. So, to keep me entertained and to keep this blog at least somewhat interesting, I'm going to update it with all my different projects, which will now all come under the Missing James "line."

Obsession with Leopard

I've recently had an obsession with leopard, so for a sweater of my own I decided to felt a leopard print. This was one of the more difficult patterns to felt because it was so detailed, small and repetitive. Plus, I used up all my black felt and beads. But I really like it. I want to find some studs to put around the neck and pockets, but I'll need to do a trip to Spotlight for those.

P.S. I got conned. The boots I ordered are not coming. The lady who sold them took my money and ran. That's a lesson for everyone, NEVER do a business deal with someone you don't know over email. ALWAYS, use Ebay or a set website to buy online.
