Jailhouse Rock

Last Saturday night was my 24th Birthday and I was competing in the "Burlesque Knockout" at the Black Cherry Club. It was an awesome event and we all had such a great time. A great night to finish my 23rd year. Congratulations JADE TWIST for winning the Burlesque Knockout - she's an amazing contortionist who had absolutely no competition!

I got the photos from my performance that night and they look UNREAL! Thank you STEP BACK PHOTOGRAPHY for taking some amazing shots!

All costumes by Missing James, as usual. Check out the Etsy listing for your very own hand sequined bra and underwear set! These babies take forever to make - this one took over 40 hours, so you know you're getting your money's worth.

a misty morning does not signify a cloudy day

More photos came in the mail! I'm so excited about these babies. A couple of weeks ago I shot with Alex from Visual Works on a beautiful misty morning out in Centennial park. He sent me a few that I've already posted in Edwardian Corsets, but these babies were on a CD and are my favourite of all.

Next project: Custom "Poison Ivy" Corset Dress for Drea Rose

The next custom order on the list is a "Poison Ivy" Corset dress for the darling Drea Rose (who is now unfortunately back in Canada). She wants something very modern, yet sophisticated...and obviously green with vines.

So I've found this stunning 1911 corset pattern that I'll be working off. It's an underbust, so I'll have to modify the pattern to be an overbust, but it's short enough that it'll be a full dress on the tiny Drea and it'll be fully corsetted from the thigh to the bust (as some corset dresses are just corseted around the midsection).

Photos from Bridges of the Body

The Blog "Bridges on the Body" have a step by step guide for this corset pattern. Check it out! You can follow her along in the making of her own 1911 corset dress and every trick of the trade is explained.

I'm so excited to start!!! Now I just need to find some awesome fabric.

edwardian corsets

About a week ago I did a photoshoot with the lovely Alex from Visual Works out in Centennial Park and we had a ball! It was an early morning shoot and we were so lucky to have an extremely foggy one. The photos turned out so ethereal and beautiful.

Here's a sneak peak.
